You’ve seen them – those dreamy, glowy portraits where the light looks like it was sprinkled straight from a romance movie. That’s golden hour, the magical 20–40 minutes before sunset when everything turns warm and cinematic.
But couples often ask me: “How do those photos actually happen on a wedding day?” Let me take you behind the scenes.
Golden hour doesn’t just “happen.” During your planning, I’ll check your wedding date, venue, and local sunset time. About one hour before the sun dips, I scout the property to find the perfect spot — maybe it’s a field, a garden path, or a hill with sweeping views.
This way, when the light hits just right, we’re not scrambling – we already know exactly where to go.
Here’s the fun part: during your reception or right after dinner, I’ll quietly pull you away for a quick golden hour session. Don’t worry – we keep it short, around 15–20 minutes. Your guests barely notice you’re gone, and you come back glowing (literally).
Think of it as a secret date in the middle of your wedding day.
I don’t stick you in stiff poses. Instead, I’ll guide you – walk hand in hand, whisper something funny, twirl, or just hold each other while the light wraps around you.
It feels natural and relaxed. The result? Cinematic portraits that show your connection while letting the sunset do its magic.

These are the kinds of images that don’t just live on your phone – they beg to be printed large, framed on your wall, or preserved in an album you’ll flip through for decades.
These moments have a timeless, cinematic quality that make them perfect for your wedding album’s closing chapter – or as a piece of wall art that greets you every morning with the reminder of how your marriage began.
