Seattle Proposal Stories – How Real Couples Said Yes in the PNW

Sometimes the best way to imagine your own proposal is to see how others have done it. Every couple has a unique story, and as a Seattle proposal photographer, I’ve had the honor of capturing so many unforgettable yes moments.

One couple chose Discovery Park at sunset. He led her down the bluff, pretending it was just a casual evening walk. When he dropped to one knee, she gasped, covered her face, and said yes through tears. The golden light over the Puget Sound made the photos look like something out of a movie.

Another couple planned a mountain getaway at Snoqualmie. They stopped at the waterfall on their way, and he surprised her with the proposal in front of the roaring falls. She was stunned, laughing and crying at the same time. They spent the rest of the day celebrating in nature, and the images captured every ounce of their joy.

One of my favorite rooftop proposals happened at The Nest in downtown Seattle. He reserved a private table overlooking the skyline, ordered champagne, and waited until the city lights began to glow. When he pulled out the ring, she immediately said yes, and the photos of them against the skyline are some of the most romantic I’ve ever taken.

What makes each of these proposals unforgettable isn’t just the location – it’s the emotion, the planning, and the decision to capture it. Without the photos, these stories would fade. With them, they become memories couples share with family, frame in their homes, and treasure for decades.
